Terms & Conditions of Hire – JofulSparksUK
Bookings, Payments & Fees
By placing an order with us—whether via email, online, or verbally—you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to our Terms & Conditions of hire.

A non-refundable booking fee of 20% is required at the time of booking to secure your rental.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing without prior notice.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or adverse weather) preventing us from fulfilling your booking, we will notify you as soon as possible. Any hire fees paid will be refunded, or a partial refund may be issued for significant delays (over one hour past the expected arrival time). Delivery fees are non-refundable. No further compensation will be provided.

The agreed hire period must be adhered to. If any delays occur due to customer-related obstructions at the time of delivery or collection, a charge of £30 per hour (or part thereof) will apply. This includes delays caused by unprepared Ball Pool returns (balls must be bagged for collection).

It is the hirer's responsibility to provide accurate details regarding setup location, access, and preferred delivery/collection times at the time of booking. This must be specified via online booking forms, written emails, or during verbal arrangements.

While we strive to meet estimated delivery and collection times, these remain approximate and subject to external factors beyond our control.

The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 14 days prior to the hire date. This requirement does not apply to account customers. We may, in some cases, request full payment at the time of booking.

Failure to pay the full balance by the deadline may result in cancellation of your booking without setup.

If a refund is due for any reason, it will be processed within 14 working days, though the exact timing depends on the customer's bank.
Cancellations
If you cancel your booking, the following charges apply:

More than 8 weeks before the event: 25% of the order value

8 to 6 weeks before the event: 35% of the order value

6 to 4 weeks before the event: 50% of the order value

4 to 10 days before the event: 75% of the order value

Less than 10 days before the event: 100% of the order value

If we are unable to complete delivery or set up due to inadequate access, space constraints, or unsuitability of the location, the booking fee will not be refunded, and any outstanding balance will remain due.

In the event that we must cancel due to severe weather conditions, a full refund (including the booking fee) will be issued within 5-10 working days.

Customer cancellations due to weather concerns are non-refundable. If the hirer chooses to cancel because of weather conditions, all outstanding balances will still be due within 7 days.
Terms of Use

The hirer is responsible for supervising the equipment and ensuring it is used safely and appropriately at all times.

Adult supervision is required at all times to prevent accidents and ensure that preschool children do not share the equipment with older children or adults.

The equipment must only be used as intended and must not be sub-hired or used for unlawful activities.

Users must remove footwear, metal-studded clothing, glasses, sharp objects, keys, badges, or anything that could cause injury or damage before using the equipment.

No food, drinks, chewing gum, alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs are permitted on the equipment.

If the equipment is returned in a dirty or mistreated condition, a cleaning charge of £50 will apply.

Face paints, party poppers, and silly string are not allowed on the inflatables, as they can cause permanent staining. Any damage caused will result in additional charges for repair or replacement.

The hirer is fully responsible for the equipment while in their possession and will be liable for any loss, damage, or necessary repairs.
Equipment & Liability

Upon delivery, the hirer must inspect the equipment and report any concerns immediately. If no issues are raised, it will be assumed that the items were delivered in good condition.

In cases where equipment becomes unavailable due to previous damage, we reserve the right to provide a similar substitute of equal value without prior notice.

All sizes listed are approximate.

The equipment remains the property of JofulSparksUK at all times.
-
We may take photos of our equipment at the event for promotional purposes, including social media and marketing.

If equipment malfunctions, we will provide a pro-rata refund for the affected item only. No further compensation will be provided for loss of earnings or additional expenses.
Site Requirements & Safety

Equipment will be set up in one designated location upon delivery and must not be moved once installed.

The site must be within 50 metres of a power supply. If this is not possible, alternative arrangements must be made in advance.

The setup area must be clear of obstacles (e.g., tree stumps, garden furniture, pet waste). If the area is deemed unsuitable, we reserve the right to refuse delivery without refund.

If setting up on hard surfaces (e.g., tarmac or concrete), ground anchoring may require drilling. We will only drill into tarmac, not tiles, block paving, or decking. Any drilling will be at the property owner’s risk, and filling the holes afterward is the customer’s responsibility.
Weather Conditions

We may cancel bookings due to extreme weather (high winds, heavy rain) for safety reasons.

If we proceed with setup and weather conditions worsen, the customer must ensure equipment is used safely (e.g., provide shade during extreme heat to prevent burns on surfaces).

Weather is not a valid reason for cancellation by the customer, except in extreme conditions where safety is compromised.
